Name:
My name is Sootwhisker
Gender:
I am proud to be a Tom
Clan:
I am, and forever will be a loyal member of EarthClan
Rank:
I am a Warrior, and a loyal one at that
Age:
I'm 47 Moons, still young and growing
Short Description:
My fur color is sooty gray with brown stipes all across my pelt
Appearance:
You may wonder what I look like. You know the basics, but what about detail? I want to create a picture in you head what I look like. And I will. I am a somewhat muscular cat with broad shoulders. When I walk, you can see my muscles ripple under my always sleek pelt. My average size paws are very soft and tender. My paw pads are very soft, and I call myself tenderfooted often. A sharp rock under my paw can leave me limping for the rest of the day sometimes. My body size is... well, I am just an average sized cat. Not a smaller cat like some from my Clan, not an oversized muscular cat, and not too lean. I am of an average size with a sleek and slender body structure. My tail is also of an average length. About.. about a tail-length long! It is striped with sooty gray and brown, ending in a dark gray, almost black tip. My legs, as well, are the same lengths as most cats. Average. Thats what I am, an average sized cat, like I've been rambling on about this whole time. My whole body, me, myself, is about the size of a large shoebox, or a small kids' suitcase. Without the carrying stick thing of course!(Yes, I have one near me thats about the right size. XD)
Now for my color. The coloring of my average sized, somewhat muscular, shoebox sized body is unknown to you, no? It isn't? Oh well, I'm telling you anyway! My head is a dark gray, sooty gray to be exact, color. I have an M shaped mark on my forehead, as most tabbies do. It is a brown color, like my mother was. Or so I was told. I never actually met her.. but I'll tell you that part later. I also have four stripes, two on each side of my face, in brown. The rest of my pelt is that color too. Sooty gray. Brown stripes cover my fur, my coat, my pelt. The begin to disappear when you get to the point of my legs, that you humans would call your calf. If we cats had those, thats where they'd not be. Under my stomach is clear as well. Yep, its all sooty gray under there. My eyes you ask? Have I not mentioned them at all? No? Oh, well their amber if you must know. I was also told it was from my mother's side, whilest my dark gray was from my father-whom which, I've never met. Yes, me eyes are amber with lighter flecks of brownish-orange mixed in, making them light amber. I'm running out of colors for this paragraph.. hmm. Ah, I havn't mentioned my ears have I? They are pointed, average sized, and- os mousedung. You people don't want to hear about my ears. Or my velvety pink nose at that. Have I told you about- yes, actually I have.. Oh well, on to the next section.
My extra features! Yes, I have scars, and other things on my body just like everyone else. In fact, I have scars on my nose, my shoulders, my face, and all over me from the many battles I've faced! I have a scar right across- or down, my flank. I actually don't have a clue where this one came from... I can remember it from whenever I was a kit. For a short time, I actually though I had lighter gray fur on me! ...That felt really weird when I groomed it... Well, I was a kit after all. My claws are blackish white, and I try to sharpen them almost every day before heading back from whatever patrol I was on near that evening. They are almost always sharp, ready for an attack. I have a knick...knock.. nitch... hole thingy in the side of my left ear. My whiskers are white. I have exactly 7 on each side of my face, and about 7 over each eye as well. Ah yes, my pearly whites. They are, in fact, pearly white. I don't know if all cats have theirs this white, its not like I actually examine their teeth! I don't even know myself if their that white.. I can't see them myself. I just- oh, drop the subject. My teeth are white. Good enough, right? I'm pretty handsome, huh? Eh? Eh? Right...
Personality:
You know what I look like now. You know my pelt is gray and brown, my body structure, and lets not bring up my teeth and extra features... But, some of you may wonder what I act like behind all this beauty. *nudge nudge* I shall tell you all about me, so much you may even get bored listening to me! I don't care! Read on! Heh, no I'm normally not this insistant or 'mean' as you may think. I can be pretty sweet actually. Especially around the she-cats. Nah, just kidding. I do hope for a mate and kits one day, but I'm not a flirt! I can be pretty annoying sometimes.. as I'm told. It may just be my friends and siblings, but hey? Are they always wrong? I hope so.. Anyway, before I get onto joking again, lets get down to the point of this paragraph. I can be a nice cat sometimes, and, as you can see, I love to joke around. I try to get cats to see the bright side of things, and if there isn't a bright side, then I crack a joke to try to make someone laugh. Okay, got the main point in. It was short? I know, thats what all this joking is for! Haha.. haha.. no? Okay, that wasn't funny was it? Heh. As you can see, I'm not always a good joke cracker, but I can be. Okay, moving on!
Do I have any goals in life? Any dreams I hope to come true? Why yes, a few things. One is to be a good warrio and serve my Clan in as many ways as possible. Follow the warrior code, and obey my leader's every command. And also, just my every day warrior goals; to have good friends, a mate, and a few troublesome kits to be proud of. I would love to watch them grow up in SycamoreClan, become apprentice, become great warriors, get a mate and have kits of their own and to feel the same way as me. *Sniff* Yes, it still brings tears to my eyes at the thought. Haha! Still not funny? Mousedung. Well, I am pretty talkative, as you can see. I talk a lot around my fellow Clanmates. But, around other Clans, I be careful as to hold in what has happened that the leader has told us not to talk about. Or something I think she wouldn't like. See? I'm loyal. Me myself, is- Let me reword that. I am, althogether, a pretty talkative, yet careful speaker, loyal member of EarthClan. I can be very nice at times, most times actually. But whenever annoyed I can be snappy and rude. You can tell when I'm not too happy at the look on my face, the tone in my voice, and the lack of humor.
History:
Okay, maybe my personality wasn't 'too long as to bore you', but you gotta admit, it was kinda long, right? Now for my history lesson. My kits tale. My story. Except, all of this is definately true, and no doubt about it! It all started at my birth. I was born to... well this is where my mom comes in. I don't know her! I never saw her! I don't even think I got suckled by her. I just remember my eyes opened to see a pretty black she-cat staring lovingly at me. At this time, I though this was my real mother. I still never had a father. Or I didn't have one that I knew of. Not even a fake one. A foster one. I was fatherless as far as I knew. I didn't know I was motherless too though. My brother was another kit who suckled with me. Runningkit. I know now that he wasn't my real brother, he was born to Darkfoot, the black she-cat I thought was my mother. While I was born to someone unknown to me. We became apprentices after six moons of long waiting. I would never forget that day! It was a warm summers evening, and- This is about my history. That will be my sample. Or as I call it, my talk time.
Me and my bro, know known as Sootpaw and Runningpaw, now trained together. Now I knew the thruth about him and my mom. At first it had shaken me, but a few days after I got over it. After all, If I didn't know her, I guess it couldn't hurt, right? So my mentor; Pineneedle, taught me all I needed to know about being a warrior. You know, the basic hunting, fighting, teachings of the Warrior code. Yea. I had many battles within that time. In which I got most of the scars that are left on me now, except of coarse the one down my flank and a few others. That one had been there since I could remember, as I said before. I remember one battle when we were fighting foxes. Those foxdunged animals are always causing trouble.. Attacking EarthClan, killing my brother- Did I just say that? Oh, I guess I'm getting ahead of myself a bit. Yes, those foxes killed Runningpaw! How dare they kill my only brother! But, soon, the leader made me a warrior. And I was made one alone this time.. My name changed to Sootwhisker, as I am today. I moved to the warriors den with my fellow warriors and slept with my best friend- Peanutbutter.(XD) I went of many patrols as a warrior too, and actually led them myself sometimes. I even got my own apprentice! Is that cool or what? But unfortunately, little Owlpaw died one day. Well, he actually got carried away my an owl. Isn't that weird. Owlpaw, got taken away my an owl. I guess it was his destiny. Or at least thats what the medicine cat always says. My apprentice had always been pretty small, so he was easy to carry away.
Sometime within there, my foster mother died of sickness. And sometime after that I got another apprentice! Yes, the bulky Gorgepaw finished his training without falling in a gorge! Haha.. again not funny. Heh. He became Gorgeclaw and was a loyal warrior of SycamoreClan for moons. Until one day, the ambition and courage I always noticed in him got him. He unhesitantly attacked a rogue. He was winning.. until three more showed up. Then they... *gulp* killed him. Your asking why I didn't help? He was out by himself with his apprentice, and had told him to run for help because he scented more. And he was right. Another jumped out and attacked him... killing him as well. When a patrol finally found them, they were cold with death. *sigh* Can I not raise a good apprentice? I guess not. So here I am, a good looking, handsome, funny warrior of EarthClan! (Or as I like to think of myself. XD)
RP Sample:
Yes! Here is my favorite part! My talky time, but this time I shall talk in third cat. I didn't use what I said I would, though. I will talk about something else.
A warm breeze carried the scent of newly blossomed flowers towards the apprentices den. Inside, two cats lay curled up asleep in a pile of moss. One was a soot colored tom with brownt stripe. The other, a silver tabby with a white patch on his chest. He, also, was a tom. The brown and gray tabby flicked his ears. His nose twitched at the smell of spring. Yawning, the apprentice stood up. He shook the moss from his pelt and flicked the cat beside him with his tail. The silver tom opened his eyes and looked around to see who had woken him. Seeing, what appeared to be his brother, standing over him, he smiled wryly and stood up slowly. He did the same as the gray cat and shook the moss off, then padded out of the den. He emerged at the entrance, with his brother at his heels. "Look Sootpaw, its spring!" The silver tabby mewed, gazing at the pink tree blossums blowing in the wind. The sun warmed his pelt, but it wasn't hot outside. It was just at a perfect temperature. "I know." Sootpaw replied, smiling. "Beautiful, isn't it?" A voice behind them said. The two cats looked back to see a white she-cat standing behind them, flicking her tail in amusement. It was Dovepaw, an older apprentice. "Yea, it is!" The silver cat meowed. "Runningpaw, Sootpaw, this is only your first time seeing spring, isn't it?" Dovepaw mewed. Sootpaw nodded. He and Runningpaw had been born in the winter, and all they had known was cold. The only warmth was in the curve of their mother's stomach, and the milk they drank.
Sootpaw heard a rumbling, then noticed it was his own stomach. "I'm going to eat something." He mewed, then began to pad across the clearing towards the fresh-kill pile. He grabbed a vole and sat down to eat it. He took a bite, and suddenly. Just suddenly with no link to it, he remembered what he had learned yesterday. It felt like a stone in his stomach. It felt like someone peirced his heart with a million thorns. Yesterday, Midnightwing had told him the truth. That she was not his mom. She had never said who his mother was, but she told him enough to make him wonder what else had been a lie, if anything. Runningpaw also turned out not to be his brother. The silver tabby had been born to Midnightwing originally, and he had just grown up with him. This made him feel lonely somehow. He knew that they both still loved him, but it still was a shock. Sootpaw tried to shrugg it off. That wasn't important now. Nothing was different now that it had ever been, except he knew a little more than before. A little more that he wanted. He finished his vole quickly, but didn't stand up. He just sat there, unable to move. Finally, his mentor appeared behind him. Pineneedle had a smile across her face. She had obviously woken up from a good sleep. "Hello Pineneedle." Sootpaw mewed, glancing up at her, forcing a smile. "Greetings Sootpaw, how would you like to go hunting?" The gray and brown tabby nodded, standing up. Either was, he was going hunting, whether his reddish ginger mentor meant that as an invitation or a command to stand up and follow. Pineneedle then flicked her tail for him to follow and headed towards the entrance. Sootpaw followed, perking up. At least this would take his mind off things.
