Role play Sample: Shadowpaw sat on a large rock near the stream. She scuffed some pebbles into the water and watched the ripples. She thought about her parents. Slowly, a tear trickled down her muzzle. She blinked hard and wiped it away. "I must be strong." she thought. "I must not cry." She didn't know why she disciplined herself. It wasn't like anyone noticed. Angrily, she scuffed a few more pebbles. Getting restless, she jumped down from the rock. As she walked toward the camp, she heard familiar voices. They were two other apprentices. "I bet Shadowpaw is so grumpy because she didn't get to go to the Gathering!" said Briarpaw. "Haha! I bet you're right!" laughed Nettlepaw. "If only they knew!" thought Shadowpaw, biting her lip. She felt tears pricking at the corners of her eyes, and said to herself "What do they know?" Just then, a third apprentice appeared out of the bushes. "Who are you talking to? Yourself? Loser!" he laughed, and then disappeared. "Stupid Tigerpaw!" muttered Shadowpaw. She waved her tail in disgust and resumed her walk to camp. When she got back, she went straight to her nest in the far corner of the apprentice den and went to sleep. Other Characters: None
